In mechanics, a diaphragm is a sheet of a semi-flexible material, usually made of rubber, anchored at its periphery and most often round in shape. Flat rubber diaphragm sheet is usually manufactured with natural rubber or synthetic rubber compounds and reinforcing fabrics.
